When to consider Buffer
Consider Buffer when per-channel pricing and the listed API limits match the accounts you connect.
When to consider PostTempo
Start with the free weekly planner. API keys begin on Pro. Recorded approvals begin on Agency and Scale. Check the networks and the plan limits before you move client work.
Buffer alternatives if the queue is no longer enough
Stay on Buffer when the free or Essentials API limits cover the drafts you create and you do not need a recorded approval. Look at an alternative when Team's per-channel price, multiplied by the channels you connect, is the wrong shape.
Later Growth listed internal and external approvals at $37.50 per month for 2 social sets. SocialPilot listed manager approval on Standard at $50 per month and client approval on Premium at $100, with API access on Enterprise. Planable Basic listed two approval types at $33 per workspace per month. PostTempo Agency is $99 per month and includes approvals; Pro is $39 per month and includes API keys without approvals.
